The Inspector Side Panel helps reduce complexity and simplifies the overall canvas experience. Use the Inspector side panel to add modules to a step, and configure the modules without obscuring the canvas view. As Citizen developers, you can add modules to each step and customize the functionality within the inspector.
To open the Inspector Side panel, click on the Welcome step or any new step to open the side panel as shown below.
You can use the Inspector Side Panel to customize the following functionalities:
Edit the Step Name and Description
Assemble modules using drag and drop to view the Step Logic
View the Module List
Engage modules
Data modules
Navigate modules
Utility modules
Editing the Step Name and Description
The Inspector Panel will display the default step name with an option to modify the Name and Description.
Click the Edit button.
Modify the step name, and provide a short description of the step.
Click Enter on your keyboard to save the changes.
Assembling the Modules
The Step Logic space is where you can assemble the modules to build a flow of the steps. You can configure the following modules:

Export Data Module

Import Data Module

Enhanced Module Management in Inspector Panel
This feature allows users to efficiently manage modules within the Inspector Panel in Ushur Studio, enabling seamless workflow organization through options to copy, paste, move, and reorder modules.
Access the Inspector Panel
Open your desired workflow in Ushur Studio.
Select the step where you want to manage modules. The Inspector Panel will display all available modules for that step.
Copying a Module
Hover over the module you want to copy.
Click the Copy icon that appears. A message will confirm that the module has been copied to memory.
Note
Any branching configurations (such as "on-error" or "on-reminder" branches) associated with the module will not be copied.
Pasting a Module
Navigate to the step where you want to paste the copied module.
In the Inspector Panel, you’ll see a Paste Module option if a module is available in memory.
Click Paste Module to place the copied module in the current step.
A confirmation message will appear, and the module will be added to the step, without any previous branching configurations.
Moving Modules Between Steps
Hover over a module in the Inspector Panel to reveal the "Move" icon.
Click on the "Move" icon. A dialog box labeled "Move to..." will appear.
In the dropdown, select the step you wish to move the module to or create a new step by selecting "New Step" and entering a unique name.
Click Move to confirm your selection. The module will be transferred to the specified step.
Reorganizing Module Order
Click and drag a module within the Inspector Panel to adjust its position within the same step.
Release the module in the desired location to finalize the new order.
Deleting a Module
Hover over the module you want to remove.
Click on the trash icon to delete the module from the step.
Confirm the deletion if prompted. The module will be removed from the step and workflow.
