How to understand Ushur Confidence Levels?
Confidence levels represent the likelihood of the model prediction. It is usually a number between 0 to 1. A value leaning towards 1 implies that the model is confident about the prediction being correct.
Ushur buckets the confidence level into 3 categories - High, Medium, and Low.
High - 0.7 to 1.0
Medium - 0.4 to 0.7
Low - 0.0 to 0.4
Do remember that the model can confidently predict something wrong as well. These scenarios are rare and the model will get better over some time.
Confidence levels are a good way to eliminate misclassifications. In the Ushur workflow, we route medium/low confidence predictions into the default bucket while returning the prediction as-is for high confidence predictions.
