Article summary

The Export Data module is used whenever you want to store information so that it may be used for further processing after an engagement has ended. You can use this module to store the information in a Datatable or pre-defined SFTP server.

  1. From the Data Collection panel, drag-drop the Export Data module into the Inspector Panel.

  2. Double-click to configure the Export Data module. 

  3. Choose your export destination by selecting either Datatable or SFTP.

  4. Exporting to a Datatable.

    1. If Datatable is selected:

      1. Export to Datatable: From the dropdown menu, select the applicable datatable you want to export data to. Users can view both Studio and Legacy Datatable from the drop-down.

      2. Tags for Export: Assign each tag to a destination data table column using the dropdown menu next to each tag.

    2. Navigate to Manage > Data Tables > Project Name. The data that you exported will be displayed in the grid.

  5. Exporting to a SFTP server:

    1. If SFTP is selected:

      1. SFTP endpoint: From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate endpoint or SFTP folder. To configure the SFTP connection, refer to SFTP Connections.

      2. Tags for Export: Enter custom filenames for each tag under the Custom Filename column. If left blank, default names will be used.

    2. The data you exported will be displayed in the SFTP endpoint.

  6. Click :Back_icon: Back to save the configuration options.

Note

You must select the datatable unique key and map it to a tag to export data properly.
