Article summary

The File Creation module is used for the following three modes:

  1. Calendar: Create, edit, or delete a calendar invite for your end user. This generates the invite.ics file for the invite. This helps Ushur identify the appropriate time to meet, sends a request, and blocks the time in their calendar. You can also delete a calendar event or modify the event details and update the calendar based on these modifications.

  2. Contact: Collects and stores the business contact information of the end user and creates a .vcf file for the virtual business contact.

  3. PDF: Generate customized PDF documents by filling in a pre-designed template with dynamic data. This feature is vital for automating document workflows and creating personalized PDFs for various business requirements, including forms, certificates, and more.

Managing Calendar Events

To create, modify, or delete a calendar invite:

  1. Drag-drop the module into the Inspector Panel and double-click to configure. From the File Type drop-down, select Calendar Event.

  2. Specify all the parameters related to the event.

  3. Specify all the related information for a New Event.

  4. Ensure that you associate the correct File Link, File Asset ID, and UID for this event.

  5. Select the Update Event or Delete Event if you wish to modify the existing calendar details. When you select either of these options, ensure to specify the Event UID details.

  6. You can save the Calendar Event as a file and associate a tag to it using the Save file to tag option. You can create a new tag on the go and save the event.

This Ushur will ask for all the relevant details from the end user and set up a meeting by sending them an appropriate invite.ics and block the end user’s calendar. If you have modified an existing event, the details will be updated in the calendar, and in case you delete an existing event, the event will not appear in the calendar.

Using File Creation for Contact

To enter or create contact details, complete the following:

  1. From the File Type dropdown, select Contact Card.

  2. Specify all the contact information.

  3. This Ushur, when used, will ask for all the relevant details from the end user and create a business card for them. This creates a .vcf file for the virtual business contact for the end user.

Saving the File Information

You can save the Contact or the Event as a file and associate a tag to it using the File Management > Save file to tag or Save file URL to tag option. You can create a new tag on the go and save it to the new tag.
