Article summary

The following are the two categories of constraints that are the current limitations of the reports:

Review these to understand what Reports can and cannot do.

Volume Constraints

  • The max report file size supported is 5GB. If the requested report size is more than 5 GB, the report will not be available for download and it will show the status as “Failed”. It is advisable to revisit the filters to generate a smaller report. Reach out to the system admin in case of consecutive failures.

    • In SMS Delivery Reports and Email Delivery Reports, If data is huge in content (>10kb) and the number of records is very large, then it is advisable to exclude the Content column or to change the filter to reduce the number of records.

    • In variable Reports, If the value stored in variables is huge (>10KB)) and the number of records is very large, it is advisable to exclude those variables or to change the filter to reduce the number of records.

  • For some customers like Cigna, the team is anticipating that enabling reports may crash the services and Mongo in the instance since Mongo is already getting consumed too much and records are generated in millions per day. It is advisable to start with much smaller reports.

  • From UI, the maximum duration for which a report can be requested has been limited to 90 days. However, 90 days still may filter many records for a few customers based on daily executions - Please ensure that in such cases, the file size for the requested reports doesn’t go beyond 5 GB. In such cases, selecting a much smaller duration is advisable.

Report Constraints

  • User response reports will not have support for the Form Module.

  • Only the Engagement Status Report and Engagement Variables Report will show data sorted based on the latest update (similar to initiated activities order) in descending order of timestamp, the rest all the reports will have records in ascending order of timestamp.

  • Report generation in XLSX format for large records may take a long time, for large reports it is advisable to use CSV format.
