What is an Ushur Tag?

Ushur Tags are keywords you can associate with any Ushur workflow. This enables customers to initiate an engagement from their mobile device at any time. You can advertise these keywords to your customers through your standard marketing/communication channels including a customer portal or public websites. An Ushur Tag can initiate engagements that begin with an email module or engagements that begin with SMS Text modules.

Text Engagements

To create a Ushur Tag:

1. Go to the PULL tab inside your Ushur Dashboard and add your desired keyword.

   

2. Add your keyword without “#” then, select “add #…” in the drop-down, and your Ushur Tag will automatically be added along with the virtual number that is associated with that Ushur workflow.

Note

You can’t use the same Ushur Tag twice over multiple engagements, however, you can use multiple Ushur Tags for one engagement.

Email Engagements

Tags can also be added to trigger a Ushur workflow that has an email engagement. On the pull tab inside your Ushur Dashboard, enter an email tag into the “Email Username” field. An email address with that tag will be automatically generated. If the users want to initiate engagement with this Ushur, they will send an email to this ‘tag’ email address.  The email need not contain any content and could have a blank subject and/or body.

Note

The domain portion of the email address will vary depending on how your account is set up. In the example below the domain is demo.ushur.me. So any email tags will have “@demo.ushur.me” as the domain. If your company name was Happy Insurance, with a domain name of, say, happyins.com, Ushur can customize the domain on the email address to have the company domain name. For example, for initiating a claims process, the tag email address could be [email protected].

In this example, “demo” is set as the tag, so the generated email is [email protected]. Ushurs set with email pull tag can be triggered via one of the methods below:

• By directly sending an email to this address

• By forwarding or auto-forward email content to this address

• Via API - refer to Ushur API integration for more information

Note

Please note that only one type of Ushur tag (text or email) can be enabled for a particular workflow.
