Article summary

You can create an Open Response Module to capture the user’s input. A sample configuration can look like this:

Configuration Options

  • Page Title, Module Title, Module Description, Field Label, and Field Note - Customize the message prompt that displays to the end user.

  • Supported input types - Generic strings, numeric strings, alphanumeric strings, fixed-length strings, fixed-length numeric strings, fixed-length alphanumeric strings, date, email, address, phone number, and number ranges for integers and floating numbers.

  • Variable/Validation - checks user input against the specified type in Validate or stores user input into a Ushur variable. For example, if an open response is used to collect an email address from the user, the validation can be enforced based on the email format to ensure customers enter a valid email address.

  • Error Text - This text is sent if the user input failed validation criteria.

  • Error Limit - Maximum number of times wrong input will be taken before routing the user to a different page in the engagement.
