Article summary

What’s New

The engagement history feature has been enhanced with a new modern layout. This is part of the initiated activities tab. The chronology of interactions between the end user and an enterprise can be tracked here:

  • The platform now supports Amazon SES as an email provider.

  • Ushur now supports sending rich multimedia content to your mobile subscribers when you activate the MMS feature. This would be useful when an appointment is scheduled with your subscribers after interaction with an agent (enterprise). You now have the option to share the agent details as a VCF (Virtual Contact File) for any follow-up discussions. Also, the ICS (calendar) file will help add a calendar event for the mobile subscriber.

  • The audit trail is enabled from the UI to help customers track all activities on the Ushur application for all users logged for a specific Enterprise.

  • Parallel workflow introduced. Previously, when a user chooses to move from SMS to invisible app (IA) mode of engagement, the SMS flow ceases. In the latest release, the SMS workflow would continue to remain active as a listener to capture inputs from end users even after the IA flow is complete.

  • Domain white labeling of the ShortURL at the Enterprise or Ushur level is introduced in this release. This enhances the end-user experience on the IA channel

Platform Enhancements

  • Initiated Activities Enhancement: The enhancement allows users the flexibility to decide the time range for records to be verified in the Ushur Dashboard. Earlier, the default date range was set to two months. This would impede situations when large campaigns are being run and enterprise users would want to check the status of campaigns for shorter periods. The new layout for initiated activities is as shown.

  • User Admin Enhancements: A user account can be created as part of multiple accounts. Based on the business user selected by the user at the time of login, the user credentials as mapped under that business account would apply.

  • Setting Reminder time as a variable: The enterprise users now have the flexibility to set a reminder time for all user response modules based on workflow design as a variable. This will, in turn, empower the end users to set the time by when they would like to receive a reminder.

  • Location Module Enhancement: In the earlier releases, the GPS coordinates of the location were captured as part of the engagement history. Customers can now see the actual address instead.

  • Compute Module: Changes introduced to enhance the enterprise user experience. Based on the variable chosen, the allowed operations based on the data type of the variable are displayed. For example, if the datatype chosen is date, then the only operations allowed are increment or decrement.

  • API enhancement: The “onIncomingEmail” API has been enhanced to allow attachments to be sent from enterprises to the Ushur platform. The earlier provision was to include links for attachments that needed to be sent out. The same can be used in the Ushur workflow to send them via the Email Module to end users based on the workflow being designed.

  • Other platform improvements and bug fixes.
