How Many Characters Can I Use in a Message?

Ushur doesn’t restrict you to a character limit. However, SMS messages can carry restrictions as imposed by their network carriers.

We suggest you test out the messages that are longer than 140 characters to ensure they are delivered as a single message as opposed to being split into multiple, and sometimes out-of-order messages. The 140-character soft limit includes any special characters (which may count as more than one character since they take more memory) and URLs.

You can deliver up to 140 characters in an SMS without needing to split and beyond that, the number is dependent on the character set used. 

Ushur messages sent using email or the Invisible App are not subject to any character limits. To send longer messages, the Invisible App is recommended.
